Ron van der Ende
"Still Life"

Ron makes these large scale works from doors he finds, planing them into thin veneers. The wood is never painted. Each fragment is cut, pre-drilled, then hand nailed to the structure. Often, Ron pastes large photographs to the back of his sculptures, never to be seen by the viewer.
